HD Formats cracked

Well, my friends, those of you who spent half a fortune in a brand-new HD-DVD/Blu-Ray player have to face two facts:

Well, I feel particularly happy for this announcement. Our legitimate rights to share and be cooperative with people are on the way back to staying protected. Still, there is much way ahead. Do not forget to join Defective by Design!!!

Before mailing me with "You pirate" claims, you should realize that DRM is not about piracy. Recording industry is treating you as a high-tech pirate with this scheme, and you do not even have permission to lend your legitimate HD film to your friend. When publishing companies activate an option in the HD media they press, they will only play in one specific player, i.e., yours. They also will require your player to be connected to the internet to keep it "safe" against "piracy".

That without mention to the significant overhead in processing the DRM schemes need, and the requirements of HDMI-compliant hardware.
